So Who in your opinion make top 5 list ? Please disregard their careers before 2000 (For example If you want to Include SR Tendulkar, count his achievements only since the year 2000).

So who make your list of top 5 Batsmen of the last 9 years ?

Edit :- Oops !! Wrong Forum. Can someome please move the thread to CC ? Thanks.

Ponting, Kallis and Hayden are the certainties. The other two I would pick are Dravid and Mohammed Yousuf.

Shocked at the omission of Mohd Yusuf there.
Not as consistently brilliant as the others over the whole period, for mine. Played on some awfully flat decks and cashed in against some weak opposition, flattering his numbers a bit. Class player but I'd always put him below the guys in my list.

Dravid, also a tough omission. I like attacking players like Sehwag, though.

Don't really think he's a cert if you're taking the entire decade into account. He had an awesome, awesome, peak of a couple of years but he was merely "good" outside of that. He's in contention but he's not a definite.

1) Ponting
2) Kallis

then it's a mix of Yousuf, Hayden, Dravid, Hussey and Chanderpaul.

I think Ponting is actually the only batsman to average 60 this decade when you take out Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
