I'm also nominating Michael Holding's 14 wicket haul against England. Don't remember when though. Also, Kumble's ten wickets in an innings against Pakistan in the late 1990s.

I'm nominating the 1960/61 West Tour of Australia. If it's already nominated I'm seconding it. That series is on par with the 2005 Ashes as far as effect on cricket in general.
I second that. That tour was much more significant in it's effect on cricket in general than the 2005 Ashes

The list is increased by 4 as S.R.Tendulkar, B.C.Lara, S.K.Warne and M.Muralitharan have been added to it.

Their vote counts were as follows:

Tendulkar 20/25 (80%)
Lara 21/24 (88%)
Murali 21/25 (84%)
Warne 25/26 (96%)

R.T.Ponting could not make the list with 3/24 votes (12.5%)

The list is now as follows:

Code:
D.G.Bradman
G.Sobers
S.K.Warne

10 more candidates are moved to be added to the list (I initially thought of 5 but I am increasing the number to 10 - some which have got thirded will be put up the next day).

The following are the 10 for which voting has to be done - whether they are great or not for a little more than 33 hours (voting closes 9 PM IST tomorrow)

Ashes
Laxman's 281
Imran Khan
G.D.McGrath
A.C.Gilchrist
S.R.Waugh
I.V.A.Richards
M.Marshall
D.Lillee
J.Kallis

Same.

Kallis could improve his rating with a dominant display vs Aus in the next few months (this remains one of the few glitches on his record).

Nopes Slats meant and nominated Ashes as a series down the years and not Ashes 2005. Ashes has been put up for voting. Ashes 2005 can too of course if it is brought up of course.
