Nope

A relatively higher % of LIV players made the cut

Anyway, Scheffler made it look easy
Considering the money that's been thrown at them, a 10th and 16th being the only top 20's is a bit pathetic. $450m for Rahm is not looking a great investment at the mo (well it never did). DeChambeau is doing so much heavy lifting for LIV he's losing muscle mass.

I still find the anti LIV thing absolutely absurd

They’re allowed to play on virtually every tour bar the PGA Tour which is now dull as dishwater

Meanwhile the Yanks are supporting genocide in Gaza & Yemen while the idiot in charge is dropping more bombs than anyone since Bush

It’s just sport

It's not a political thing for me, never really has been, I tend not to mix my sport and politics too much for as you rightly point out, you end up going round in circles. But these guys opted to move to a rival tour for stupid sums of money. In the case of the likes of DJ, Westwood, Poulter and even Koepka (who thought his career might've been up at the time), I totally get it. But if you make that choice, you understand what you're giving up as a result. The moaning from some (who should know better) was pathetic.

It's also a ****ing terrible product. You can say that the PGA Tour is dull, but still has some pretty awesome tournaments at Pebble, Riv, Sawgrass, Hilton Head, Torrey, Renaissance etc that the big boys all turn up for. But other than golf starved Aussies in Adelaide, no one has shown up for LIV tournaments, and it's not hard to see why.

Anyway, I think the biggest issue in golf at the mo is Scheffler. It's one thing having a Tiger dominating who you could either love or hate, but you could never fault his passion and what he brought to the sport, but such a meh personality as Scottie who seemingly doesn't care if he's winning or not really is just a turn off. You can't love him, but there's not much not to like either......that's why Rory remains the poster boy.

IMO, Tiger is the greatest player in history but also a complete ****

He was a marketing person’s dream: the best while being American/black/Asian so appealed to multiple, massive demographics

However, he also has an incredibly boring personality but was pumped up by the media & Nike

Scheffler doesn’t inspire people because he’s another white college boy who also happens to be a bible thumper

Rory, Norman & Seve are/were far more interesting personalities as is Bryson

Why does someone practicing Christianity deserve abuse for it. Would you say simular about someone who practiced Hinduism or Islam?

I’m not abusing him

It’s a simple fact that everyday man relates more to those with faults (e.g. Warne) than those who are almost too good to be true

You can like them or loathe them, but at least the likes of Rory or Bryson stir emotions. I generally just feel nothing towards Scottie and his interview last week has left me feeling even less for him. I shot 37 points and came 2nd in Sunday's Stableford, I've got a feeling I celebrated more than his Open win!!

It's interesting and perhaps not surprising that his Ryder Cup record is so far very poor for his ability. His winning is seemingly done for those close to him, not for a wider team. I wonder if he'll turn it around in Sept?

It wasn't abuse, but it's pretty boring hearing how Jesus is the reason for you winning tournaments and not the thousands of hours of practice you put in.

If he believes that, then good luck to him, but it's not exactly inspiring chat (although I get it is to large swathes of the US).

Then again, on one of his approaches during the Open he, or someone near him, peeled off a massive fart which sent the commentators into hysterics...so maybe he is good to watch.

He's probably a nice guy too.

Need to mention Lottie Woad. Her last 2 tournaments as an amateur saw her win the Irish Open then come 3rd (just 1 shot back) in the Evian. Now, in her first tournament as a pro she beats 4 of the Top 10 to win the Scottish Open. I watched a fair bit of her golf over the weekend and there's no doubting the similarities to Scheffler. She doesn't miss fairways, she gives herself a lot of looks at birdies and seemingly has a great short game too (just 3 bogeys all week). Didn't exactly seem over-excited when she won either, just like it was expected. Be interesting to see how she progresses as the last hot thing off the College rota (Rose Zhang) has gone missing. But feels like she has the game to win Majors and a few of them. Ladies Open at Royal Porthcawl this week....
