No round 12 then :)

Better start planning who I think bunny will want then pick accordingly.

To clarify, round 10 is the 90's pick.

Have a great run home. I'll be able to leave my final bowling slot open for the final round.

I'll take Sanath Jayasuriya to complete my top order. Useful 5th bowling option too.

Team so far:

1.Mark Taylor*
2.Sanath Jayasuriya
3.Mohammed Yousuf
4.Inzamam ul Haq
5.
6.
7.
8.Richard Hadlee
9.Malcolm Marshall
10.Darren Gough
11.

You are correct in every point that you make.

BoyBrumby and I will have some really agonising choices over the next few rounds as we cannot guarantee a bowler at all from the last two rounds, nor can we guarantee an opener or keeper.

NUFAN and bunny have the best places IMO.

You do have a great run home - the RNG rolled 93 and 94 for you.

The key for Bunny and I is to work who the least likely players to be selected are.

I think there are 2 players in the 90s who are weaker for sure.

Yeah that's certainly true for the 90s team. I don't think that there are any weak players in the 00s team.

Still, given the fact that there are 11 players in each team, the last person does get a choice of 2. Bunny has to anticipate what type of player he'll be left and you have to pick the best of the two you're given and then choose who you want based on balance.

We can, tbf. 8 bowlers available. Maybe not the one we want tho.

Will go for the impeccable line and length and more than useful lower order batting of Paul Reiffel.

1) DL Haynes
2)
3)
4) Mahela Jayawardene
5) MEK Hussey
6) AJ Stewart +
7) BM McMillan
8) PR Reiffel
9)
10) Shoaib Ahktar
11)

Not the best overall record, but lets focus on his record away from home where he averaged over 45. He's widely regarded as one of the best captains from the past 20 years and has very safe hands.

Stephen Fleming

Team so far:
1
2 Stephen Fleming c
3
4 Virender Sehwag
5 Saqlain Mushtaq
6 Kevin Pietersen
7
8 Mitchell Johnson
9 Chaminda Vaas
10
11 Shane Bond

designed to throw you out tbh.

After much deliberation I have decided that Marcus Trescothick will open for my team. Despite his mental illness he's been one of the most effective openers of his era.

Thilan Samaraweera for my selection, can't go past a player with an average of more than 50 over 57 tests.

Was debating between him, Tresco and another as yet unpicked player.

Trescothick's one of my favourites so was a bit disappointed he was taken, but had Samaraweera as my number one pick for this round anyway. And besides, who needs opening batsmen?

Considered Thilan ahead of Strauss, but Andrew's done a bit more against top bowling attacks IMO.

My turn? I'll take Michael Vaughan.

Strauss, Vaughan, Younis, Flower, Flintoff, Streak, MacGill
