FFS Chanderpaul. Was in the form of his life before this WC, and is batting like crap, ton against Ireland not included.

Knew it was a risk having both Chanders and Gayle in my DT, so I had Gayle on the bench in the group stage. Brought him on for the Super 8s, and should have got rid of Chanders, or at the least put him on the bench.
For the record I'd like to think I played a hand in Chris Gayle getting runs as I took him out of my team last night.

I fully intend to hold onto Hussey for the entire tournament, might even make him captain to double-hex him

West Indies aren't up to much in this tournament. I think we can say it's a 4 horse race now...(or 5 if you still believe England can make the semis, which I don't)

Another professional, clinical performance from the Black Caps this morning. The injuries haven't hurted us yet. The replacement players didn't perform but other players in the team have been stepping up. 2 easy games now before getting stuck into the big guns in the last three games.

Well, it's not impossible, although they'd have to show a whole lot more than we've seen to date in this particular tournament. But older members who remember the CW triangular thingy won't completely write them off just yet. All that being said, I wouldn't bet against the same 4 teams as you fancy reaching the semis.

WI have been dire, haven't they. I really hoped they'd make a decent fist of this, but the usual suspects have completely underachieved once again. NZ must be mathematically safe of reaching the semis assuming they beat Ireland & Bang, and very impressive they've been too.

Hopefully Taylor will be fit for the next match. Mason bowled well but I wouldn't mind seeing Gillespie get a crack in the next couple of games.

They won't be safe realistically, let alone mathetmatically.

What was wrong with him? I thought they just decided to go with an extra batsman and drop their best bowler. The commentators didn't mention an injury.

I am just worried about our Bowling department. Franklin,,,,I am just wondering how he fares in the coming matches. I expect him to come hard in the coming matches.

Shocking performance from the West Indies, really, in every area starting with selection. Two specialist bowlers? 30 overs from Bravo, Smith and Gayle? You've got to be kidding.

Semis looking more or less a foregone conclusion now, with Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka looking likely. I suppose England could still shake things up, but you wouldn't bet on it.

i am really really hopeing, praying that ireland wins tomorows game against england...as much as i love englands polite crowd...but i wouldn't mind if they still got to the semis but really want ireland to win tomorrows game and see joyces face...for me it would be best if WI or England won...the cup but for tomorrow i want to see ireland win...

whats the chances WI will win the rest with sri lanka next coming up...i really hope sri lanka doesn't become the party pooper in the starting point of supper 8

Nobody will beat us: McGrath

So how do you guys see this latest prediction from McGrath, is he being too ****y and arrogant or is it about being confident. The last time Pidge made a prediction it was before the Ashes 06/07 (he predicted a 5-0 result in favor of the Aussies and for a change he was right).

I think its just mind-games to get the other teams under pressure.

he's right, and only if the other teams playing AUS have some luck goign with them have a chance of beating AUS. IMO bowling of AUS is good enough, but only luck for the other side can stop the AUS batting thats playing its best at the moment.

Watching the highlights of the game now. I hope Flem gave Styris a good serve in the the dressing room for totally axing him in that runout. McMillan is a legend.
