SS is unspeakably sad

Anyways Lee in a recent TV interview said he feels he could play another 5 years, he thinks that his recent injury might have been a blessing in disguise which could add one or two years of international cricket to his career.
Not-so-good players often think they can play for longer than they actually can.

Mitchell Johnson is one guy who i really expect to have huge career, he is definietly one man to look out for.

Atm he might not be the most talked about bowler in world but with some more experience and hard-work, i dare say he would finish his career as one of the best fast-bowler of his era.

Malinga is only 23 and a very very promising prospect for the future. When he started out his action was all he really had, he went away and then came back with pace, a couple more tricks and I think more can be expected for him.

4 wickets in 4 balls might not be the only landmark in his career.

Injuries may become a problem though, he's gonna rip apart his shoulder with that action. I was hoping it would happen all WC.

I've heard conflicting articles on that. From things I've heard this may actually be better for his back and shoulder. I'll have a look into it to confirm.

If it is good then we are banning the normal actions from our pacers, then they might not fall over dead every day.:)

Richard, Lee is only 30 atm!!

Certainly 32 would be no age for him to retire.
It's not a question of retirement, it's a question of being dropped.

Lee's not really that good a bowler, and at 32 if you're bowling poorly people will be questioning your place the way they didn't when you were 26.

Jason Gillespie, a bowler who Lee's not fit to lace the boots of, played what is currently his last (meaingful - ie not against Bangladesh) Test at 30. He may be back, of course.

I love his death bowling, he shatters under pressure. He is a better test bowler I feel.

From what I've dug up, he seems to be happy with it and there seems to be no great worry that hes about to hurt himself.

I don't think many of our players could bowl that action really, all kinds of hard work and skill.

All kinds of '***y'.

(He's the ***iest cricketer you know)

That's old for an out-and-out fast bowler who has more than likely passed his peak, at least in physical terms. Lee may be probably the best out and out athlete in cricket (along with Ntini), but when you key asset is pace, and you haven't had your best performances before 30, you ain't gonna get much better.

The man speaks sense, even if his current avatar might make it appear that he cannot.

Yeah a lot of people seme to have the false impression that Lee is still a young man (in cricketing terms), because of his athleticism and looks, which both can be misleading.
