Clapo, I don't think the difference between Lee in ODI'S and Lee in test is that big, he has certainly improved a lot in test matches in recent years.

I would say Lee in ODI >>> Lee in Tests.

S.Clark,B.Lee, M.Asif all have it in them to be great fast-bowlers and the likes of Malinga,Tait, Hilfenhaus also have huge potential and age on their side to be greats in the future.

In B. Lee's case, NO - HELL NO

Asif looks the best of the current crop.

HilfenHaus looks a pretty good prospect to me....but we'll have to see hiw he goes in tests.
Clark will be a good bowler but I doubt he'll reach the lofty heights MCgrath did.

One guy who I reckon who might be very, very good is MUnaf Patel....easily the most consistently accurate Indian seamer that I've seen and if he can work on his fitness, I think he can be an excellent bowler.

Yeah, not enough time really.

So which is it, as you've managed to state that there's not that big a difference and then said that there is a big difference.

I agree that Lee is a better ODI bowler than a test bowler, but the gap is not as wide as Clapo suggested.

With 3 ">" signs i was trying to say that Lee is 3 times a better bowler in ODI's compared to his bowling in test matches.

Not really sure how you can call someone a '3 times better bowler', in a certain form, surely they are either better or not better.

When the white ball swings in the first few overs in ODI cricket Lee is really "Lee-thal", but in test cricket he hasn't been able to swing the red ball that much and thats why he hasn't been too effective in test cricket.

Pup is often a victim of double posts for some reason. I suspect he accidently submitted it twice, then deleted the first one.

What's strangest is that he often seems to manage a good 10 minutes in between. And sometimes not merely double posts but 5 or 6 of them.

It's in addition to his old habit of massive numbers of spaces (filtered-out) and overly large spaces between paragraphs. Makes me wonder if his keyboard doesn't play tricks sometimes...
