Visiting Sydney is a lot like visiting Auckland. Anywhere by the water is nice enough but the city has all the culture of a moldy fridge.

Brisbane looks like paradise to visit.

Brisbane is so bad. They found a subtropical coastal region with a zillion great beaches but decided instead to put the city inland on a ****ty, filthy, flood prone, mosquito-filled river in a spot so bad they ended up actually having to construct a fake beach on the banks of said river 150 years later.

That's a special kind of ****wittery, and it's infested the inhabitants ever since.

There are no beaches in Brisbane. That's the ****ing point.

As for Melbourne, you can't see anything there even if you want to because it's a condition of entry you have to shove your head up your own arse to fit in. If you believe Melbourne has superior cafes, art, restaurants and sport then you've just been suckered in by its self-absorption. There's a reason both Melbourne and Brisbane have inferiority complexes apropos Sydney. It's because they ought to.
