Week Thirty-Three Update

Apologies for the delay. The cold I'm fighting raises the CBA factor considerably.

First, the admin: kudos to the five of you who chose to wait for the weekend's results and injury lists before tipping the midweek fixtures, all very sound & prudent thinking. However, as a tactic it's then rather puntured if you don't actually tip them at all. Anyway, as per accepted practice since I started this things, Halsey (who tipped the last two) Somers, Johnners, Marcuss & DoG get the lowest score achieved on the games missed, which was zeroes from fred, me & my temporary proxy fatt.

Mostly dire tipping again, with a 7/14 passmark enough for a share of the weekly honours. Bets punting was grecian and Furball calling the Newcastle win at Stamford Badge & most epicsome failure was also Exeter's finest, missing as he did The Chavs' home win versus QPR.

Weekly

marc 7
Johnners 7
GF 7
bi 6
Halsey 6
GIMH 6
grecian 5
Somers 5
fatt 5
Sean 5
Brumby 5
DoG 5
fred 4
Marcuss 4

Weekly bonuses to marc, Furball and Johnners then. Just think how many the latter might've score had he tipped more than ten games...

Marc has surely put a big bow on the wrapping now as he extends his advantage to a whopping seven tips. The fight for second looks far more exciting tho as Halsey moves level with Somers on tips, with only the Essex man's inferior weekly bonus record separating them.

Fred's disappointing four makes the battle for fourth very close too, with him, Sean & bi only split by extras.

Overall

1) marc 191.11
2) Somers 184.07
3) Halsey 184.06
4) Sean 178.08
5) fred 178.07
6) bi 178.06
7) GF 174.09
8) Brumby 174.03
9) grecian 173.06
10) Johnners 172.06
11) fatt 169.07
12) GIMH 168.05
13) Marcuss 163.03
14) DoG 153

*cough* only person to predict Fulham's win at "Fortress" Anfield.

fatt appears incommunicado, ie doubtless hung over, so unless he checks in he'll take Halsey's tips
