There's a fantastic clip of the 60-61 series where Frank Worrell plays the one knee cover drive in Sydney off Davo. Shot drew a standing ovation apparently.

From whom I've seen on tv in my years of existence,

Ponting - the pull

Sachin - pretty much everything, but the paddle sweep and on side flick off fast bowlers are definitely something he's made his own.
Helicopter shot - Dhoni
Cover drive - Kallis
Flamingo shot - KP of South Africa/England

I'm not sure why people think Laxman has a great coverdrive.. he's awesome to watch but a textbook coverdrive is the last thing that comes to mind when I think of him. Plays it well against spinners, but he doesn't get his front foot forward quick enough to the pace bowlers.
I don't think the fact that its "textbook" is why people like Laxman's cover drive.

He doesn't play it that often to the pace bowlers, and when he does, he makes it look more like a wristy punch/glide than the conventional foot to the pitch, high elbow etc. Can see why people like it but I prefer the orthodox version. Love his flicks to the legside though.

Yeah I know, my point was that those who like Laxman's cover drives off seam bowling like it because it is unorthodox. So saying he doesn't hit it like Kallis or Sachin or whomever is sort of supporting why many Laxman fans like his style.

No Scrubs and Waterfalls were great tracks ftr.

TLC forgotten because Destiny's Child did exactly what they did, but made more money.
