Not sure, I think they show the One Day games though since I've seen a fair bit of that on YouTube.

Hope they show a few U-19 WC matches next year...Really would love it if they did that. The Aussie matches only at least.

Sadly mate, I think absolute die hard cricket tragics like you and I are few and far between...I don't think that sort of thing would get huge ratings.
Sad to say I think you are right:dry: , but maybe a sponsor? :)

Yes I would watch and even county cricket (do they even show the County Championship in the Old Dart?)
We get like one match a year which always seems to be a rain affected draw.

Irks me no end as Sky has 4 specialist sports channels (plus Sky Sports News) and seems to play 24-hour golf on most of them. Few county games would surely be a better call.

Well the USA loves golf, so plenty of that at a cheap price:@

Jackman just said that in the last 36 test innings SA have had only 6 opening stands of 50 and 1 of 100. Gibbs & Smith selected on rep only just now, it seems.

Dippenaar & McKenzie both averaging over 50 opening in their domestic comp this year too, apparently.
McKenzie not an opener though.

To be fair to sky they show a hell of a lot of the county one day games and i think 2 4 day games a year, which is pretty good. Generally if you put the tv on in the summer theres a county game available more often than not.

Very debateable decision that one..

I was actually starting to feel that South Africa were going to pull the chase off..

They still have about 40 minutes - it may not be needed. And yea, if light permits, they would probably go the extra half hour.

The last away Test victory against a non-minnow was in England in 2000! Back then, it was Walsh and Ambrose leading the pack. Seems like another age, doesn't it?

Seven years. It's got nothing on the 15 year dry spell that India had in the nineties, but its pretty amazing nonetheless. They've won four away matches since, but they were all against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Just how much is Smith going to be roasted by the South African media? He put them in remember.
Smith should not be criticised for that, his bowlers were the ones who failed to perform and bowling first at P.E is usually the formula for success, especially when the Eastern Cape has experienced one of its wettest summers in years and the West Indies biggest weakness is their batting. The captain should be criticised however for getting out to practically a half volley from Jerome Taylor and wanting to keep the partnership of Dumb & Dumber together.

Steyn going the bash. Can see Edwards ending it all now.

EDIT: 10 runs in 4 balls. SheesH!

Smith in no way deserves to be in the side. Captain or not, he is an embarassment and must be dropped.
Smith should do what Ray White suggested if he can not be asked changing or accommodating his game and bat at number five for South Africa. Imagine Graeme Smith against a ball that does not swing? It would be runs galore for the man, unless his playing in the subcontinent and then their could be problems for his a pretty basic player of spin bowling but it is a pretty decent idea from Ray in my opinion.

Smith would probably not go for it however, for he thinks he needs to open. To lead from the front and cover up ones anxieties.
