To be fair to Bresnan it would have been a better catch than Anderson's. Goes down as a chance, but it was a bloody tricky one.

You can put the pace of this pitch own to the recent weather. I reckon it wil quicken up as more heat gets into it.

By mid afternoon today I can see Swann wheeling away at ne end with the seamers in short bursts - not overly attacking fu=ields and England 'sitting in'.

I just can't fathom a number three playing that far in front of his body and that far away. Good piece of bowling but poor Kirk is a walking wicket at the mo.
