Think we'll have a few more pitch invasions as the groundsmen try to run for their lives from BCCI hitmen

His efforts since game three have been the biggest surprise for me from an Aus POV. Was easily the weakest of the three coming into this tournament but has bowled very well since.
Apart from the semi. He looked poor then but Starc and Hazlewood were excellent that day so it didn't matter.

Well he won't be anymore in this WC. Admirable what he's been doing but he's also Indian joint-best batsman and we needed more than just these aggro 50s from him. Almost wish we had a pinch-hitter to do the role instead.
Wasn't all the criticism after the WT20 that the batting line-up was too timid and not taking enough risks for the amount of talent in that squad? Unfair to make some random pinch hitter do it if the captain won't.

Though mind you it's possible that discussion was a red herring; India could have made 250 that night and got belted, given the level of effort they put in the field.

Remember thinking at the start of that Sri Lanka game that this looked like it was going to be by far the worst moment of bid career. Now look at him, can't not love him.

Don't think Rahul should care about his strike rate much here. Need to just focus on getting this to the 35th over or so without much more damage or there's a real chance India get rolled quickly.

They should back themselves to defend anything respectable anyway.

True enough, just greedy hindsight knowing the monstrous scores Rohit's capable of.
