Amazing that Finn after having one good innings now has a series average of 25. If ever the stats don't tell the story this is it. Good to see him finding some form though and he has been much better here than at Headingley and Chester-Le-Street.

Cricketer Of The Year
Goes to show how ridiculous talk of Woakes replacing him was. He can come out with decent figures even when he's not bowling well, almost the opposite of Woakes who can often bowl really well but not get wickets. Has been the case throughout his career really. This morning he looked to be more streamlined approaching the crease and the ball was coming out better, which you have to feel is helped by having the credit for a secure place in the team.
Was fantastic team bowling all morning, reminiscent of how we set up in places like the UAE, suffocating them for runs and looking for catches behind the wicket despite the slow pitch.

Wow, looking through the wickets, Woakes to Mathews bounced a bit but really none of them have done anything.

Surely Sri Lanka must have someone better than Thirimanne? An average of 24 after 50 innings (and 20 after 46 innings excluding Bangladesh) is embarrassing for a pure batsman.
