KW got the declaration absolutely perfect, just small enough to give Pakistan a fainthope, but large enough to require them to slog out and risk exposing their soft as sludge middle-lower order. Yes, that was impressive from them. But it's still just one series, really. And they've been strong at home, but not invincible. Drew against NZ, SL and SA.

Pakistan were never the best team in the world. Of course none of the other teams are particularly good right now but Pakistan aren't even that good in th UAE. They dropped a match to the worst ever WI side in decades I think. They usually play 2 match series against good teams and it ends 1-1. Most of their success prior to that was down to Ajmal's chucking. Yasir Shah was then caught taking his wife's pills, disgusting. Happy for the lads. NZ needed this.
