Well there we go. Would've been better if Moeen took Rahat instead though, just for the hilarity of a guy named Ali taking the wickets of two other guys called Ali.

One of the best England wins of recent times. For opposition to be 139 behind with 8 wickets left with one ball to go on day 2 on a flat pitch and go on to win by a big margin. Great win.

Second innings all 5 bowlers bowled superbly.

Yeah it was superb. A cracking test match - been a wonderful series really.

39 behind.

Bit reminiscent in a way of England's win against India at Trent Bridge a few years ago.

Yeah sorry, meant 39. Similar to NZ at Lords last year, although it was more of a team effort rather than individual genius.

Beard should win, scored most runs for the winning side, and did a very good job on the final day.
Yeah but it's a real "no outstanding performance" nomination - a frontline bowler who didn't get the most wickets and runs that largely were ultimately not required!

Nah, those runs were pretty vital when he came in both times, not sure how you can remotely say they weren't required, we could have been rolled for under 200 in the first innings, and have left them a chase of under 200 in the second if he'd gone early in both.

Every single player contributed at some stage, even Vince put in two important partnerships.

Just realised we've already had 'Ali c Ali b Ali' earlier in the 4th innings.
