Mate what are you doing to me? Just found myself watching half an hour of schoolboy cricket which I don't have time for.
Still got it running in the background, excellent stream but dangerously addictive.
It really is! A danger of working from home. In some ways I find these games more interesting as you see the next generation of players coming through. Hamish Wilson bowled quite tidy off-spin - 34 off his 10 in a TBHS total of 297.

That CD game ended up being quite tight although O'Donnell continued his excellent form. He must be close to a Black Caps call up if there are injuries. Lister didn't hurt his chances either.

Really impressed watching Tim Pringle on debut in the Super Smash. A helpful wicket but he bowled as well as Santner. Will be interested to see how he goes in the rest of the competition. I wish they had a speedball radar for Kristian Clarke and Shipley.

Also, Chad Bowes must be close to next in line for a top order place. Absolutely creamed Kuggeleign at the end.

saw a couple of the Super Smash highlights
- didn't realise Shipley can bowl an inswinger, that's good news.
- Rachin showing his class, he's so nearly there and then just has a run of poor scores to keep him out of the NZ selectors' thoughts
- Nathan Smith is alive!

D Phillips keeping ahead of Chu the most wtf decision. Rutherford said at the toss it was to play an extra batter – but really dropping a bowler is a very easy decision. The 7th bowler bowled 4 overs, and Jake Gibson played as a specialist bat at 7, as it turned out. Match-losing decision. Finnie and Rutherford himself can bowl too!

Disappointing but interesting to see both Dhillips and Katene Clarke stink up their hitter role. 28 (38) and 19 (27) respectively.

That was some innings from Horne to rescue Auckland with Solia and see them home. Have seen him do that before too. NZ are well served for keeper/batsmen options at the moment.

Brett Johnson apparently making his debut for CD today against Wellington. Brett vs. Troy!
Nice. Looks like a good crowd in Palmy for this game. Clarkson absolutely bludgeoning it. That six off Ravindra onto the road was huge. One of the hardest hitters in the country.

Troy, 14, opened the batting for the HIBS First XI as a year-9 pupil and has already proved he has the skill and temperament to cope with top-level secondary school cricket.

The brothers showcased their talents together three weeks ago, with a 124-run partnership against Wellington College in the 50 over regional Gillette Cup tournament.

The partnership took just 22 overs with Brett, who captains HIBS, scoring 72 from 68 balls while Troy batted through the innings, to be 117 not out.

"I enjoy batting with Troy," Brett said. "We seems to click pretty well between the wickets."

Troy then displayed his skills with the ball, taking 4-32 as HIBS recorded a seven-run win in a match Brett described as a highlight of his career...

HIBS coach Mark Borthwick believes that Brett is ideally suited to Twenty20 cricket.

"He has a lot of natural talent and can be really explosive," Borthwick said. "He's a very clean striker of the ball and hits it very hard when he gets it right. He's also a brilliant fieldsman. He catches well and is very athletic.

"His game should also really develop, now that he's going to be involved in the high-performance programme."

Brett has also made a mark as a legspinner, although Borthwick expects that his long term future will be as a batsman rather than as a bowler

Glad to see Thorn Parkes make his Super Smash debut I'm not sure it should have been as keeper at the expense of Dale Phillips or Max Chu.

Also, is there a cleaner hitter at this level than Santner?

Lockie bowling around the wicket with the new ball to two lefties is so hot
...and for no reason at all they take him off and bring on the spinner who gets smacked. Galaxy brain captaincy. When you have an international express bowler throw out your cute little bowling changes and let him ****ing bowl.
