And he captains New Zealand, which is hardly a joyful job atm.:p

We can't afford to pay our dudes more though.

Pretty tenuous link to call him akin to a CEO. Fairly certain NZC already has a CEO. And given 5/6 New Zealand cricketers (at least) would make more than Vaughan, I'd say they're getting paid sufficiently. You wouldn't see that model in too many places around the world.

If he was the Australian captain, where the revenue gathered is much higher, then his salary would be higher. Simple economics.

In other news, any other word of movements? Corey Anderson to ND, Brad Scott back to Otago, I'm hearing Brandon Hiini to ND as well.

Heard some others - Worker to Canterbury, O'Brien contracted to Wellington (well known obviously) and a guy called Daryl Mitchell from Perth, young 20 year old I think. Never heard of him, but contracted to ND.

^ something like that should probably be our default lineup next season.

McKay, Ryder, Pollard and Rhodes will all be around the team as well depending on availability, injuries and form.

Really wish we hadn't dropped Parlane or I'd reckon we have one of the best sides, without him our batting just seems a bit frail without a genuine middle order batsman to balance the allrounders.

Canterbury looking to get the spoon.

Yip I'm with Auckland Cricket. Did a search to see if anyone's chatting about domestic cricket and this forum came up. Great to be able to read what everyone is chatting about.

Well it's great to have members with inside knowledge of domestic cricket matters.:) Have you checked out the Sinclair and McGlashan blogs? They're a really good read. We did a live chat with Sinclair as well.

New thread champs, and I'll be moving posts from the other thread into here and I'll add in the schedule and contract lists as well. During the season I reckon it would be great to put the scorecards in the first post as well.

Central Districts have this in the bag. Time to crush the lot of you.

Anywhere from New Plymouth in the west, Napier in the east down to Masterton, then anywhere past Cook Strait to Blenheim. Unsure where any Hamner Springs or Greymouth cricketers would be aligned to...
