***Official*** Ireland Tour of West Indies

Why isn't Allen playing?
Still recovering from injury. Evin Lewis is also missing with Covid.

Mind you, Ireland missed Singh and Stirling so both teams are weakened.

Not convincing from us tbh, but a win is a win. Can't help but feel that's a missed opportunity for Ireland, they had the best of the conditions and were in some good positions to win at times.

Passport route for Ireland and get discarded NZ, South African and Zimbabwe men into the team or its doomed.

That was typical Yesterday, got some early wickets allowed the lower order to rebuild, then the batting gets off to an ok start and the middle/lower order contribute sfa.

This should be the final series of Poterfield playing, lets see what Murray Commins (Saffer obviously ( can do.

The lad's strike rate is above 100 in every format he's played, both domestic and international.

Ireland with a deserved win. Good toss to win again, but this time they took full advantage and could have won by more if Shepherd and Smith hadn't rallied.

IMHO given the conditions advantage they had in the last game, Ireland really should have already won the series. They have bowled very tidily throughout and may see this as a missed opportunity.

Shocking batting from us at all levels and in all formats at the moment. Even people with outstanding records like Hope and Pooran looked awful. We need to wake up.

Slogging tailenders rescuing ruined ODI innings seems to happen a really disproportionate amount to Ireland. Their attack being so new ball reliant does make it somewhat expected, but even so it seems to happen a ridiculous amount.
Our tail isn't great at slogging either. The Saturday game was an example of why we need to track the RRR more closely from the start than most teams. Once it goes over 8 or so our wickets in hand lose a lot of value because our last five wickets just can't come in and score that fast.

Our cricket is dead

Our captain looks like he’s never held a bat in his life. Clueless.
Greaves with a decent test knock (per Windies standards)…

Now, just hoping the tail wags once again…

Yep I honestly think they should have won 3-0, they played much better than us, simple as.

Serious conversations are needed about batting in the region.

Just watched the passage of play where McBrine totally owned Pollard. A very useful cricketer. Bowls decently and can bat anywhere.
His batting is a bit weird - he'd played almost 250 games of professional cricket and has never hit a ton, but usually looks pretty good. Ireland seem to be a bit schizophrenic about how seriously they take his batting too - batting 3 in this series as a cakewatchman but has batted as low as 9 with basically the same pool of players.

I'm mostly surprised he hasn't tonned up in a domestic FC or List A game. Always bats pretty high in those and looks every bit good enough to do so on a regular basis.

Mcbrine appears to actually be pretty decent. Thought he looked useless in the previous matches I'd seen him play

Why wasn't Balbirnie playing the final two games? He's great to watch these days

Good result for Ireland after the fiasco that was the 1st game, maybe their is something to work but they need to hard on getting some overseas lads in especially an opening batsman.

The batting in this series was very block or bash from the West Indies. I suppose players like Hope and Chase are picked to do the boring work but I fail to see how an international team plans to win ODIs with such poor strike rotation. It's not even like they had a long tail,Joseph at 11 is probably one of the best 11s in International cricket!
