Mumbai have a damn solid team

1 Rohit Sharma (capt)
2 Quinton de Kock
3 Suryakumar Yadav
4 Ishan Kishan
5 Krunal Pandya
6 Kieron Pollard
7 Hardik Pandya
8 Rahul Chahar
9 Mitchell McClenaghan/James Pattinson/Nathan Coulter-Nile
10 Trent Boult
11 Jasprit Bumrah

No shortage of bowling options, excellent top order and good luck scoring off Bumrah and Boult. Two of the best fielders in the tournament in Pollard and Boult too. Most well rounded team imo.

The injury backups for the Indian players are where it all falls apart.

Whatever it takes!!!
Also the spin is rather light weight, relatively speaking. Its MI on an even year. They are gonna suck, you just know it.

MI's balance is always kind of provided by the Pandya brothers, gotta see if they are in decent-ish form this time.

Pollard was in decent bowling form as well in cpl. With de kock opening, that's four decent all rounders to provide them great balance. Lynn Pattinson and Coulternile are also quality back-ups.

Yeah, only the Indian backups are not that great.

Yep didn't make it clear but at the end that's what I meant 1 of the 3 neutral venues being low scoring to at least somewhat replicate what there was in the IPL a few years ago whereas now feels like most matches you need 150 minimum to be competitive wherever you are playing. Ideally something like Sharjah (low scoring - 110-130ish scores), Dubai (170ish scores par, declining slightly as pitches are used) and Abu Dhabi 200 par or so.
Interesting article on some of the characteristics of the grounds: - https://www.cricviz.com/ipl-2020-venue-profiles

Please Kings XI, don't be thick, bat Pooran at 4 for the whole season. He was completely wasted last season inexplicably sitting out for Miller. Hoping for a big season from him.

Intrigued who they pick as their 4 overseas players I presume Mujeeb and Maxwell are certainties to play at least the early games, leaves Gayle, Pooran and Jordan fighting over 2 spots. They look relatively light on Indian pacers so most likely Chris Jordan (or Viljoen or Cottrell) start the IPL in the Kings XI team - especially with Mujeeb largely a powerplay bowling specialist its not like they have a Rashid Khan who they can trust to be their death bowler. Would be risky going with Shami and another Indian seamer as their death bowling options. They also look light on top order batting. Karun Nair hasn't really lit up the IPL in recent years and if Pooran plays at 4 its hard to see who else but Nair bats at 3 - maybe Mandeep Singh at a stretch?

I thought that this was gonna be more like the NFL pregame show, but unfortunately it’s disappointing...so much cringeworthy stuff.

Is this what TV in India is like?
