Lehmann flapping already, hope Poland don't just roll over like a lot of countries around there do when they play Germany.

Funny how when Podolski just got fouled he managed to get up and chase the **** who stood on him, yet when he gets called back by the ref he suddenly goes down clutching his thigh.

Fudge-packery aside, I think Jerry's looked comfortably the best team we've seen so far. Played almost at an English pace, albeit with skill & purpose, which obviously are largely alien concepts to our national team.

Hoping Poland repeat this.

"Back to Jansen! Jens! Jens! Jens, Zey are going to score! Nice goal. Vell done Poland."

"30 seconds into the match, Captain Beckett (Backett?) goes for the ball and accidentally takes the player out"

The Italian clip footytube.com has of Germany v Poland is quality. Especially when Podolski scores his first gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaalllllllll

Bloody hell France are uninspiring. Shouldn't have tipped them to win 2-0. They were poor against England (in the friendly), as well.

Interesting. Capello saying Downing as a player that really impressed him in the half-time interview there.

He was certainly the only one who looked like he would genuinely create something or make something happen in the friendly against that pub team the other week.

Improving a bit second half, but the game needs a goal. Actually I'll repharase that, it needs a French goal; if Romania scored they'll just not bother crossing half-way anymore.
