Saying we'd go to £50m, but not 60. Seems legit. Why spend that much on one of the best attackers in Europe when we could have an uncapped 19 year old for similar money?

Swansea, Southampton, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Citeh, Arsenal definitely too on balance. Spurs' ownership is underrated. United are probably only above Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa, unless I'm forgetting someone.

Transfer season in general is pretty **** now. I wouldn't mind it if the transfer window was every other year. Clubs can actually try to develop players and can't buy their way out of mistakes or shortfalls.

I think Newcastle are unique in the Prem for being badly run out of an unapologetic total disregard for the club, as opposed to simple incompetence.

Probably wouldn't go that far, but definitely no January and make it an off season only thing, so summer stuff finishes by the end of July.
