Why was james benning batting at 8 today when they were batting first? did he get injured in the dugout?

Good to see some big score so far this season, world t20 should be a cracker if this continues, though I reckon superior bowling beats superior batting in this format (in every format in fact) so the average score will probably be lower than in the county competition.

Never thought Surrey would be able to defend 125, but Hants need 16 off two overs with two wickets left ...

Edit: make that one wicket - Tahir bowled by Elliott.

Four wanted from the last ball! How the hell are we letting a last-wicket pair do this to us.

Got home by one run. A match in which spinners opened both innings, and went for 18 apiece.

Pleased to see Middlesex need 15 an over against Kent btw. Darren Stevens, 58 off 26 balls!

dav/Uppercut/GIMP..

How good/bad were Yorkshire against Lancashire in the 20-20?
Yeah, bad. If Gale had got hold of du Plessis' waist-high full toss first ball, it could have been different though. Bowling was okay but game was over after you only made 105. One of those Twenty20 games that was all over after 10 overs really.

151-6 off twenty after being put it...not bad, not great either, pitch should take spin though so hopeful. Sounds like Swann and Sidebottom bowled well for Notts....

Notts now 7-3 in the second over...Adam Voges has just got out caught at third man by Parry who was on the rope and 'parried' the ball up in the air stepped over the rope, stepped back in and caught it again. Will be interesting to see it on the replay...wasn't it Voges who did the same thing for Aus?

Edit, now 13-4 in the third over and Tom Smith has 3

Essex 105-6 and Bopara gone through a pretty special Dwayne Smith run-out.

But here comes Napier who is capable of reducing Sussex fans to whimpering wrecks
