Looks like I missed a cracking finish there, 52 runs off the last four overs and an over that included three wickets! Good for Sky though after all their recent washouts.

Great finish in the Sky game between Leicester and Worcester with the latter always seemingly in control of Leicester's run chase despite an exhibition in strike rotation and risk-free accumulation from Ramnaresh Sarwan. But Sarwan's innings along with very useful contributions from Greg Smith, Michale Thornely and a vital cameo at the death from Rob Taylor was just enough for Leicester to sneak over the line. Gripping viewing.

BBC radio Bristol are saying Tresco is going to play for the seconds this week. Wonder if he will be fit for the T20 quarter final on 24th?

Should be a good finish in the Sky game, 80 off 12 needed by Hants. Less said about Surrey the better. Pietersen not playing today, for no obvious reason with the Test still four days away.

With Kieswetter's new bowling ability, he can play the all rounder role with Butler taking the gloves for England.

Anyone else think it's been a disappointing summer for the england lions guys in general? No-one has had that great a summer.

It hasn't been easy for the batsmen but still most of the guys have been pretty average and seem to be going in the opposite direction to the test/odi team. Stokes, Buttler, Taylor, Vince, Hales(99apart)

Root is probably the only one who has enhanced his reputation off the top of my head. Compton has played great but he only made the lions side on the back of his performances this season.

Of the bowlers Dernbach has had a stopstart season. Meaker has been inconsistent but put in a couple of exciting performances. Woakes has been injured for a decent part of the season but as always has been excellent in 4 day cricket. Briggs and Borthwick have had it tough with the weather but neither looks to be improving. Brooks has been decent. Buck has been injured but crap again since he came back. Coles did well at the start but his performances have tailed off.

It's been a horrible summer with the weather but still it's been disappointing for england imo.
