**OFFICIAL Cricketweb Football Premiership Discussion and Results Thread** Season 1

Travis_Teh

International Regular
We only have two forwards that are of any worth, and one of them (me) has been out injured for the last few games (I've still one more), so we've really been forced to play a single forward up front.

With the subs thing, the competition is seriously lacking depth. If you take a look at our bench, you'll see what I mean. There's little point substituting when the players coming on are of less than half the skill of the players they're coming on for.
On the other hand, though, the "subs" will never improve if they don't get game time (unless that training things improves them substantially???). So the gap between the subs and the first xi gets larger and they become even more ****e in the long run.
Ohhh well.

Western Dynamo vs Central United
at Pickford Park

Central travelled to the West to take on the Dynamo.. A game which was crucial for both sides... With their 2 main rivals also playing each other it was a big chance for 2 sides to really make a mark on the competition... Central would have to do it without their skipper though who was still out with an injury.

Island Swell vs East Coast Fury
at Clowich Stadium

The Swell hosted the Fury in another match which would have a huge baring on the makeup of the table.. The welcomed back 2 key defenders back into their starting side whilst the Swell were again with Suspension problems..

Northern Power vs Southern Stallions
at Robbham Arena

The Winless Stallions travelled to the North with the ever lingering hope of breaking their win duck. The North have had an inconsistent season so far and if the Stallions were ever going to win one then this was their chance..

Good to get a win over a higher ranked team but out lack of goals is a concern.

Absolutely hammered. Was to be expected though given the guys we had missing.

Well played Fury.

Man i can't believe that, an own goal, dominated the game and we still lose. Oh great keeping by Kyle just too good on the day to get past. Really disappointed to lose Manju to an injury, just can't take a trick this season.

LOL. Stallions get their first win with an own goal. Hey, we'll take it. That is easily my best game of the season. With Mandando back, hopefully we can have more of an impact at the attacking end.

Fantastic effort Fury!!!!!!!

Goff & Hoy were outstanding, and Dwyer is starting to find his feet up front. Also, well done to the 6 players who made TOW :D
