Character building stuff Upper Body. The Cobras are an impressive outift, we did well to power through. Fantastic stuff by the Proteas captain, amazing knock that.
Hughes, Watto, Smith. Best top three ever, and will surely be the key to our success this tournament. Good work by Camps aswell, and Cannon was brilliant on debut. Very positive signs indeed.

Group A: Queensland vs East Robbham Upper Body
Australian internationals Ashley Noffke (21 not out) and Ryan Harris (10 not out) combined for an unbeaten 24-run stand, as Queensland sneaked home to a 3-wicket win over Upper Body. Queensland lost regular wickets - including CWer Darren Dubb-Lynch, smartly caught behind for 17 - and needed 21 when Harris came to the middle at the fall of the 7th wicket. He stood up to an excellent spell from Nath Patrick, including a nick between 'keeper and lone slip to the boundary, and clipped the same bowler to the midwicket boundary to seal the win.
Earlier the boys from West Robbham amassed a challenging 154-5, after early turmoil saw them reduced to 4-2. The Australian pairing of Shane Watson (4) and Phil Hughes (0) were out with the first two overs, leaving the middle order to recover. Dan Smith was caught behind for a rebuilding 19, but Joshua Ritchie held the innings together with a calm, battling 67. The attacking impetus was added toward the end by Bosco Fitzsimmons, who hit 3 sixes and 3 fours in 45, but the competitive total ultimately came up short.

An excellent team effort continued a perfect start to the Champions League for West Robbham. Promoted to number 3, Dav Richards led the way with a breezy 50 (22 balls) that included 4 sixes and just one boundary. Young Sam Morris then built nicely on the platform, and handled the fast bowlers deftly on his way to 56 (39 balls). In the face of good bowling from Greg Thomas (2-21) and Dirk Nannes (3-31), Rabid Wolves managed a sizable 175-8.
In the chase, Victoria never truly got moving. Andrew Flintoff bowled a fiery spell with the new ball, while new boy Smith gave another controlled performance in support. They each grabbed 2 wickets to set back the Australians. Victoria captain Cameron White stirred the contest with a quickfire 51 (29 balls), but with the score on 117-8, he picked out Morris in the deep, off Bennett. Keen to get everyone involved, Gough brought on Raghav Suryadevara as sixth change. The paceman combined with his captain to complete the innings, having Nannes caught at mid-off for a duck.
