Another cricinfo pic repost, but...

We've used at least three different people at 1st slip in the last year, haven't we? Every since Hayden retired we've rotated through Clarke, North and Watson. Personally don't think Watson is quite cut out to be first and Clarke, whilst an exceptional fielder, is always a bit late to pick up the ball off the bat.

But I wish they would hurry up and decide already. Far too many slips catches have gone down in the last two years.

EDIT: Although it looks like Ponting is at 1st slip there... wha?

Don't read too much into that drill, Ponting standing at first slip in that drill more simulates second slip with the angles.

True.

But I wish we would get a decent slips cordon sorted out. I miss the days of Junior/Warne/Ponting etc. etc. with Hayden at gully and Martyn at point/cover. One thing people often overlook about the glory days of the Aus team - they were a frighteningly good fielding side,

Yet another reason Rogers should be in the team.

Still nowt showing on any of then Sky Sports channels' listings regarding coverage. Although, and this is quite probably straw clutching, SS4's schedule is free until 3pm tomorrow so could still be a last min deal struck.

It's annoying cos there must be literally millions of expat and first and second generation Indian fans in the UK and several hundred thousand Aussies in Shepherds Bush alone.

Agree with what has been said before, and maybe it's going to take India copping another set of howlers before they finally introduce the UDRS. Would serve the board right, tbh.

Whatever it takes!!!

more like the senior players.. Board is juz going with what they say.. Think BCCI can be blamed for a lot of things but here, it is the senior guys who should take the blame.

The board should be blamed for taking into account a stupid suggestion by the senior players IMHO.

Maybe but generally I do believe a board should go by the what the players recommend regarding on field things and in this instance they should take the greater blame. And let's face it.. We are not going to see a day when a BCCI official is gonna snub any word from Tendulkar.. Unless Tendulkar decides to do a Modi or something..
