Whatever it takes!!!
He seemed to look pretty poor in limited overs playing for Yorkshire - which I didn't really understand as he scored fairly quickly in red ball cricket.
The Ashwin effect. A scaled down version of the Sehwag-Slater paradox. Reality is there are few batsmen who are very good timers of the ball and who can pierce the in field with excellent shots but often find it difficult to ping the boundaries when the field is that spread out.

Archer to Labuschagne, FOUR runs
Shot He's not stuck on the back foot due to Archer's threat and pace. Sees a short and wide one outside off and latches on, cuts it beautifully through point
I mean, I am sure Labu has his dancing feet out there but don't you need to be on the backfoot to be playing a "cut" shot?

Sam Curran batting 8 and not opening the bowling ... looks kind of redundant in the side.
Actually redundant is probably the wrong word because England likely require his bowling given Root is the 6th bowler. Just if he's going to bat 8 and be the 5th bowler used I think he's a strange choice given he's shown no great pedigree bowling in the middle or death.

Sam Curran being preferred to Willey as the left-arm option is so baffling on every level.

These two getting on top of Rashid has won them the game. Completely neutered our only threat beyond Archer.

Rashid whilst decent at times isn’t even half the bowler sky big him up to be. Bowled poorly on a helpful surface today

He is our best ever one day spinner (not that he has much competition) but I don't get the reasoning behind the calls for a return to the test side when he doesn't play first class cricket. He was probably unlucky to be dropped but after being dropped has hardly played a game since so how can he have improved?

Swann I would say. I was more talking about his one day bowling. I feel Leach is our best red ball spinner. Obviously Rashid deserves his spot in the one day side he’s just no where near as good as sky make him out to be.
Nah, he's gun. Just had an off day.
No one averaging 31+ is a gun however much you want him to be.

I'm sure the bubble is directly related to this, but this is the worst summer I can remember for fielding across all formats. Reliably dreadful.
