*Official* Afghanistan vs West Indies 2019

247 was always too many. I think you could rerun that chase 100 times and doubt Afghanistan even win 5 times

It's been a long time coming. New captain, new coach. Results immediately.
Definitely not worth getting carried away over, but I have enjoyed the smart batting and the proactive approach in the field. The team selection was also much better, it feels like they are trying a logical formula out.

It makes a nice to change understand what the management is trying to do at least. It was truly woeful under the previous selectors. Let's call it the Ashley Nurse era.

A series win in over 5 years is worth a few bottles of beer on a Saturday morning.
We still have some holes and worrying signs brought over from the Ashley Nurse era. Hetmyer still is batting without a head. The rotation of strike is down a bit. We need to improve on that.

The formula is a simple one. One man setting down anchor and batting all innings.

I think we need that John Campbell in the mix as well. As a second option.

Sunil Ambris should really be There. He must be close to starting ahead of Hety.

I think Windies cant drop Pollard he at least a specialist captain a mike brearly type figure
Definitely. He has had one innings on a tricky pitch against 2 excellent spinners. Let's see how he does in more innings.

Holder rested, Paul proving a good replacent. I expected afg to do better by batting first and got off to a good start but a collapse is now in progress

Sensible team selection. It has me really confused, I'm not used to common sense management of our cricket teams.

My only gripe would be not giving Ambris a go when his record in List A and ODI's merits it ahead of anyone else.

Afghanistan have managed a competitive 249/7. It's a decent pitch but Chase got some to turn and with Rashid and Mujeeb it won't be easy. Let's see if our new found sensible approach to ODI batting continues in a tricky chase.

Pretty funny how Stanikazi hit 6 sixes but barely scraped a strike rate of 100. Must have been some serious block-bash stuff

Chase was spinning the ball these should be ideal bowling conditions for mujeeb and rashid really if they land it in good areas

Basically the whole innings was like that. Afghanistan need to rotate the strike more, they're even worse than us.
