watson opening and hughes first drop. was absolutely no reason to drop hughes or move watson down and frankly it should be attracting more criticism
The Prince in being treated like **** by selectors shocker.

I'm still not sure about Voges as a number 6. Most of his good work has been at 3 or 4 in the past. But yeah, the selectors have been really harsh on Hughes this summer.

it's a good thing we've moved past that type
I think we should be looking to bring in a keeper who is a big hitter. Wade is horrible with the bat but I would like to see someone who can WALLOPPPP at the end of the innings.

the less bull**** "all-rounders" in the team the better IMO, plenty of guys who can hit a long ball in the team IMO
Just bemoaning the fact that we don't have a natural destructive striker coming in at the later stages of an ODI.

One of them should come in for Smarsh. Can have Watson and Voges opening and at three respectively, which I feel suits them better.
MMarsh is currently injured so he can't come in, perhaps you are right, I'm not 100% sure of the ideal lineup.

It's maybe a spot too low but it's not like he can't figure it out there. The 80 odd he made against england in 2011 came at no 6

1. (To be determined, Marsh, Finch etc)
2. Watson
3. Hughes
4. Clarke
5. Bailey
6. Voges
7. (To be determined, Haddin still wants it, but I'm sure Wade/Paine will be given most of the prime opportunities over the next year or so)

Is undoubtedly the strongest batting line-up we can put out. If Watson misses due to injury or resting we probably have to call in Marsh/Maxwell. but the beauty of having Watson in the team is that it means we don't have to send out a ****ty bit part all-rounder like mmarsh or maxwell and i'm thrilled we seemed to have finally figured that out

Should we cut our losses and just play Haddin in the ODI side until WC 2015? Wade is absolutely **** at coming in at 7

Matthew 'for me to poop on' Wade is now averaging under 22 with the bat in his ODI career at a strike rate of under 69. I hope the Victorian selectors get to play their captain all season.

Who would this be in your opinion? I haven't seen enough of Neville, but from what I've seen of Paine it's not his game at all.

Tbh, I'm not necessarily advocating a bit part all-rounder in that role, and certainly if I picked Marsh or Maxwell I'd only be slightly considering their bowling. I just sort of feel you need someone who can give it a bit of wallop down the order, as NUFAN said. Who that is, I'm not really sure. You have Faulkner at 8, which means you can sacrifice a bit of actual run getting for faster scoring and an ability to smash it miles at number 6.
