Helps if you bowl a spinner who struggles at 1st class level for some of it. Boult has been poor too

I would like to think there is method in the madness and they won't just slog everything. Bairstow's hundred in the first innings was different to his two 4th innings thwackings, with a lot of steers to fine leg and third man. And even when he was hooking Henry for back to back sixes I don't think he'd be doing that if Henry wasn't serving it up there.
Hitting Southee off his length is also made much more effective when there's no one except a part time spinner to take up the slack.

Will Young is a very good middle order bat who is opening; Michael Bracewell is a standard 1st class middle order bat who is batting 8 and bowling part-time off spin. Previously Rachin Rachin was our no 7 - the best young opener in the country playing as a SLA allrounder.

Prettt sure it's Yasir Shah at Sydney in 2017, brought up his ton off 12.1 overs. The utter contempt with which he was treated that innings was absolutely astonishing.
