NRL 2014 Tipping Thread

Ennis has been absolutely terrible this year. He's not an advantage over anyone at present.

Sam Burgess will definitely help out the Souths props too - in the modern game you have to look at more as a middle third with the lock included rather than just a prop rotation. George Burgess will be a big out, but Te'o doesn't really help with the go-forward anyway; he's an edge strike weapon.

I've really not been as impressed with Canterbury as everyone else this year, but it's a coin flip of a game IMO. Tipped Souths purely because I'd be more angry with myself having getting it wrong tipping Canterbury as a Canterbury sceptic than getting it wrong tipping against them.

Apologies for talking about this in the tipping comp btw, (mods, move to the NRL forum if anyone gets annoyed) but yes, that's kind of my point. You're talking about people's tips so it's fine IMO.

I do see what you're saying; just thought I'd explain why I tipped Souffs as everyone else was. It's a real 50/50 game and for only the second time this year I actually think Canterbury are good value with the bookies this week - ironically enough the first time I thought that they lost though

A bit more of a spread of points this week. Nufan backed up his words with correct tips Kyle's early slump seems a distant memory, with both scoring their second round wins for the year. The news was not so good for Uv, who managed the worst result of the round even with his Tigers getting up over the stirring juggernaut.
