I do agree that if you're giving enough details to narrow it down to a specific team, you should be prepared to go the whole way and name the player involved. Otherwise, it is a bit unfair on the other ten blokes. Imagine if Warner wasn't involved like everyone is saying he was.

Isn't it?

The band of suspects spans the entire team. While saying who exactly it was would be an icky situation in context of the evidence, it's essentially a game now of guess the racist from these 11 men you see before you.
Pretty amazing when Gnske is the one speaking sense here.

Burgey has given a good reason though

It’s a tough one because I do accept the tarnishing all argument. At the same time why should he stay silent?

I don't think he should have stayed silent, certainly not for as long as he did. But I'd have to go back to one of my initial thoughts in that I wonder if this would have been better handled if the match referee was informed at the time. Both as a statement and for practicality.

I recognize this is tangential to the real crux of the issue.

This has such a Trumpy vibe to it.

Get accused of something done years ago

Deny vehemently

A person doen't have to be racist to do and say racist things.

I guess what I want to know is exactly what the coach's and captain's response were when this happened, and how the player recognised and reflected on his actions.

Your posting in this thread is doing nothing to enhance your rep as the only racist left on the forum mate. Need to up your game fella.......no one wants to see this side of you.

Mo just wrecked India, captained his side to victory in the Vitality Blast, gave his medal to a kid and threw dirt on Australian cricket. Perfect time for his book to come out.

I don't have to be a racist in every thread to prove my laurels.

It was (an admittedly poor) joke Daemon.......regarding Gnske's fake racist/***ist persona.

I'd like to say that Moeen could be making it up for the publicity/whatever reason but when you've got guys like Davey running around in the baggy green it would sound pretty hollow

not to mention the team being coached by Darren "don't run me out black ****" Lehmann

Was this the same tour where Warner defended Amla’s honour against the vile racism of Joe Root?

So why’s he not named the player who said it instead of generalising about the whole Aust team?

Cos you know, let’s not generalise about groups of people. We should be specific...
I think this is a result of you responding to just the title of this thread instead of the actual story that this thread is based on.

"Everyone you speak to . . . they are the only team I've played against my whole life that I've actually disliked," Moeen told the Times in an interview with Mike Atherton. "Not because it's Australia and they are the old enemy but because of the way they carry on and [their] disrespect of people and players."

"The first game I played against them, in Sydney just before the 2015 World Cup, they were not just going hard at you, they were almost abusing you. That was the first time it hit me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but the more I played against them they were just as bad, the Ashes here [in 2015] they were worse actually. Not intimidating, just rude. Individually they are fine and the Aussies we've had at Worcester have been fantastic, lovely guys."
Moeen Ali: 'Rude' Australia only team I disliked - ESPNcricinfo

He has spoken about the entire team's behaviour like many have in the past and this is just one of the worst incidents that has been picked up by the media.
