I was trying to wind Burgey up but after his gracious post in the England v South Africa thread now feel thoroughly ashamed of myself - well almost :)

Botham & Gower's records vs Australia won't be too shabby, albeit not as stunning as some of those already posted.

U19 Debutant
Fiery Fred - 53 Indian wickets at 14.84

Jim Laker "10 little Aussie boys Lakered in a row" twice in the same season and an overall Test record of 79 at 18.27 against them
Interestingly enough, Fiery Fred never played in India. All his successes were achieved in England - some of them on very green wickets in 1952.

Helped heaps by his 334* which was not against either Waqar or Wasim. I watched the innings, but can't believe/remember Aamir Sohail bowling 42 overs in the first innings of the match. :-O 2nd Test: Pakistan v Australia at Peshawar, Oct 15-19, 1998 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
Thanks Taylor averaged nearly 60 in innings featuring either of the two Ws or both

Batting records | Test matches | Cricinfo Statsguru | Cricinfo.com esp during the home sereis of 1990 when he averaged nearly 100 against both in their prime

Knew 'against India' would be a recurring theme as soon as I read the first post.
Naturally. We have traditionally had weak attacks add to that our dead wickets and we are ready for gang rape :)

Kiwis too have had week attacks over time so they too will appear here but at least there home wickets are not made for slaughter of the lambs.
