You clearly lack the ability to read and understand.People who rate Lara are delusional and Courtney Walsh is a great batsman.
You're right, excellent point.

Average batsmen & very good batsman can score runs on flat decks. But only the very good batsmen can score runs when batting conditions becomes difficult.I've never really understood the CW obsession with scoring runs when batting is especially difficult. They don't inherently help your team more than runs on flat-ish decks.
I think his point is if only 1 game in 30 is played on seaming tracks and/or against a world class attack, it is pretty much negligible.Average batsmen & very good batsman can score runs on flat decks. But only the very good batsmen can score runs when batting conditions becomes difficult.
I dont see how that is CW obsession. That is pretty much proven throughout cricket history.
If it is CW obsession thats mean CW really does have the most knowledgeable cricket fans in world, so come join the bandwagon..
Lara and Tendulkar are simply overrated by some, they are no better than most of the top batsmen from all eras. I have watched both over their respective careers and although they are very good they are not extrordinary in any way.Lara is one of the handful of true batting geniuses in the history of the game.
Fans of cricket should just be grateful to have had two geniuses like Lara and Tendulkar playing in the same era along side Ponting instead of this continual petty decimal point scoring.
It's pretty unique to cricket. No one would ever say Darren Bent is a better player than Lionel Messi because he always scores his goals against the big teams in the league whereas Messi hasn't proved himself often enough against tough English defences. That might sound extreme, but it's pretty close to Hayden<Atherton as comparisons go. That's how far some people take this stuff. That is a good point, teams win on flat decks so you need batsmen who can bat on flat decks. It dosent matter what the deck is like you still need to outscore the opposition to win a match.
I think you need to watch a bit closer.Lara and Tendulkar are simply overrated by some, they are no better than most of the top batsmen from all eras. I have watched both over their respective careers and although they are very good they are not extrordinary in any way.
you seem to be the troll here, make your point but why make it personal.Nope. That's why I pointed you out as a multi-posting troll after your first three posts and have been proved right.
Yeah, exactly. Ponting looks in trouble against top-quality bowling far more often than Tendulkar does, IMO. But they both score a comparable amount of runs, because Tendulkar occasionally throws his wicket away to Cameron White or some equally rubbish bowler.Very good batsmen score less when the going is easier, and score more when it's harder. Makes sense.
Not.
Nothing personal about it, just a fact.you seem to be the troll here, make your point but why make it personal.

No offense Lillian but I think my experience would suggest otherwise. But then again I'm not a cricket fan I actually play and years ago made a living from it.I think you need to watch a bit closer.
Sorry I've noticed this a few times lately, but isn't the one that caused the uproar Hussain>hayden? It's pretty unique to cricket. I think you're a previous user who's been banned a few times before. No particular concern to me, just pointing it out.How have I been trolling? Incidentally, you are the one trolling here.Go back and look who sidetracked the discussion in the first place.I am sure there are mods around here to tell me what to do and what not to do.If they don't have a problem, I don't see why you should.
I highlight the IMO part because it is probably the most important part of your post. I thank you for having the awareness of placing it there.Yeah, exactly. Ponting looks in trouble against top-quality bowling far more often than Tendulkar does, IMO.
I don't care what you think, it doesn't make an iota of difference. Ftr I just joined last month, and if you have any problem, I suggest you go to one of the mods instead of hijacking my threads with your nonsenseI think you're a previous user who's been banned a few times before. No particular concern to me, just pointing it out.
That doesn't make you anymore of an authority on the subject. Anyway if that's your opinion on Lara and Tendulkar you're entitled to it and there's no definitive right or wrong opinion. No offense Lillian but I think my experience would suggest otherwise. But then again I'm not a cricket fan I actually play and years ago made a living from it.
