Even then he averaged 33.5 with the ball and 72.8 with the bat till he retired. Only played 15 matches from 89 - 92. That bowling is better than what half of Botham's career was.

Imran was a little before my time but from what I saw on YouTube, he seemed to exert himself a lot while bowling.

He had an injury that he missed more than a year over, he came back and bowled with the same action but he was 36-37 by 1989 and couldn't bowl much well anymore.

He was really only bad in 1987 and the pathetic comebacks he made to get some cash in his pocket. Kind of hilarious how you needed to bring up Imran in a thread that didn't discuss him, guess the thread had too much Botham appreciation for you to tolerate.
