Read this in the media. Really sad.

Truly shocking news. Saw him play several times. A most promising cricketer for his age, with bat as well as ball.

Very sad. He was the bowler when Ben Stokes almost hit six sixes off an over, the last ball falling just short of the boundary for 4.

Incredibly sad, his poor family

You say 'huge hole', I think that only really applies to Lancs who admittedly lose 4 players who were in the majority of their games last season. But then 2 of those were nicked from other Counties so not much sympathy.
Only Lancashire? Yorkshire, for example, stand at 3. Surrey 4 admittedly they are well prepared for that. Notwithstanding that it is still 15 players overseas during a premier first class counties' competition.
But think your sympathies are misplaced.
How many counties can you name who have 15 current players (ignoring the women for this purpose) in their squad of professional players, who came through their age groups/academy? 18 last year. And, at the same time for good measure could arrange a Past v Present game and invite 11 players from the actual first teams of other first class counties who also came through Lancashire's age groups/academy.
You should just be pleased the club manage to waste what produce and continually under achieve at first team level.

I did look at Yorkshire, but seeing as Brook, Rashid and Bairstow played a combined total of 1 game for them last season, I'm not sure how they're really being impacted by the World T20 this year.

To be fair, thanks for Danny Lamb, has been superb since arriving in Sussex.

Dukes ball and cloudy conditions make for lots of wickets around the country. Also interesting to see the lesser-spotted Dom Bess playing for Yorkshire.
