Draft - your selection must have a batting average close to the previous player's selection

Well that is not ideal.

Daniel Vettori (30.00)
Sorry. The last thing I needed was a ~50 average batsman. I needed a keeper and
to a lesser extent someone who can bowl. Dujon filled my most pressing need. I checked every eligible batsman who I could pick and none of them had kept even for a single test.

In order to truly facilitate the screwing over of people in the draft, here's a table summarising what positions people have picked so far. Obviously it's not perfect, e.g. how do you classify Alec Stewart, but I've also included a table sorted by drafter so you can see easily in one place who everyone has picked so far. Let chaos commence.

International Captain
Nice work.
And I already told you how I will classify Stewart - my last pick will be an opener or a keeper, depending on where the previous pick is. And Stewart will be the other one.

Vettori not actually a disaster depending on my last pick. Was worth taking the wildcard early to get Marshall.

Bold of you to assume I actually spent time looking through the thread to pull that together.

I just love that Tayfield is classified as an all rounder.

I guess it begs the question of what an all rounder is. In my mind an all rounder can bat in the top 7 and can bowl at an international standard.

In my head Dudley Nourse was an all rounder. Turns out that's very much not the case.

Oh right, you have me down for 2 openers, 2 bats, 2 all rounders, a keeper and 3 bowlers.

Dudley Nourse was definitely a batsman! One of the finest in history.

The normal awards that everyone else has
It's now been 24 hours that we've been waiting for @ataraxia to pick.

I'm prepared to give him another 24 hours seeing as we've done it that all the way thru the draft. If he hasn't selected in that time, I'll assume he's broken a bone and can't type, and I'll withdraw him from the draft. So far this has run quickly enough as is and hopefully he'll come online and pick soon.

International Coach
I normally have this period of inability to pick every week, so bear that in mind. However, I did come prepared for this scenario: CB Fry (32.18)

1) L Hutton* /
2) CB Fry / o
3) RB Kanhai /
4) PBH May /
5)
6) JR Reid / o
7) LN Constantine o /
8) APE Knott + /
9) RJ Hadlee o /
10) GA Lohmann o /
11) H Verity o /

six (very arguably) all-rounders so far...
