Did anyone else find that the depth was lacking in MOBs? A couple of years ago it was openers. Definitely a golden age of spinners since they found out how to be good at white ball versions.

There isn't a lot of Tests played this time around. Plus this year most Test wickets have been bowler friendly. Only Kohli scored 1k runs. With Mendis scoring 950 odd, who didn't do enough at home in 5 Tests. He scored only 1 fifty in 10 inns at home, and that too on the last inns Vs England at SSC.

Root scored 948 runs. His average was in the early 40s. So overall this has not been an year for the batters.
