I just re-read the OP and am a bit confused - are there rounds (like the T2M2) or is it fully variable (like the odi debut chronology)?

@trundler - as presume with countdown tickiing down this could influence strategy for early picks

After closer inspection it appears more it is like the T2M2 draft though I thought originally we would have another varied order as it produced some fun drafts

Possibly @trundler isn't willing to organise the varied order drafts as they seemingly take a lot of effort. Which is fair enough

I'm pretty sure trundler wants this to be a standard varied draft, but this does bring in some ambiguity - given that if the former is true, there are no rounds except R1.

It's varied order format. Trundler has wanted to do this for best part of this year. He just f'ed up writing the OP (probably was typing on phone from under the desk during his Physics class)
