Daft or highly unlikely ideas you want to see in a one off test

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
  1. 6 innings (3 innings each) timeless test.
  2. Compulsory bowling. Before you can get on with your regular spells, everyone in the side (either including or excluding the keeper) have to bowl 1 over.
  3. 22/44 player match, 11 per innings. Choose who bats and bowls when, wisely.
  4. Each bowler gets their own ball, like how batsmen use their own bats.
  5. A New Zealand opening bat combination who can make it past 100 together against teams who aren't Zimbabwe.

6s and 4s switched in value. Though this would obviously be better to experiment with in T20s

For Test matches - If a batsman plays out a maiden over then 5 runs are credited to the bowling side.

(Actually an idea by Fred Spofforth who thought that defensive batsman were killing the game)

A Night-Day match. As in toss at midnight. Start at 2am, snack break and breakfast instead of lunch and tea. The works

3 just means specialist fielders etc.
No you've got 22 players, but they all have to bat/bowl in 1 innings or the other. You can't just bat your 11 best batsmen in each innings.

eg. Your first innings has 11 batsmen, then the second innings you have to use the 11 that didn't bat in the first innings. Same with bowling.

Yeah this.

So do you choose 6-7 attacking batsmen for the first innings to try and build a big score quick and have some slow stonewallers for the second? All seamers in the first innings? All spinners the second? Balance it all out wiht all kinds? Some players play better in different innings, so it'd be interesting man management.

Having to take all 11 wickets. So last man standing has to make sure he gets on strike the next over, with the possibility that if he doesn't, the bowler bowls at open stumps.

I would like to see a T20 played where everyone has to bowl two overs each except the keeper.

I used to play by those rules on EA Cricket 2005 against my cousins. Good times.

No limit to how many players can play for the CA. Just keep them coming. Also lets not give them pads for fun.

Eyes not spreadsheets
All the players in the world gather at the stadium and the 2 captains take turns to pick their starting 11.

If a captain takes more then 30 seconds to make a pick the other captain can jump in and pick again.
