Cricketweb decides- England's all time ODI XI

Despite being superb in this tournament I can't see a place for Stokes. With a keeper at 6 and Root's spin at 3, they'd be better of with a specialist batsman at 5. If you want a few overs pick Collingwood at 5.
Agreed, Stokes for me is, at best, an adequate 6th bowling option (he has a terrible economy + and an ok SR) - I certainly would not trust him with a full quota of 10 overs - and given the top 4, I think there are only 3 slots for KP (or another specialist bat), Stokes, Buttler and Flintoff, and I would drop Stokes from that list before any of the others.

Flintoff goes thru reasonably comfortably. We now have a situation where we have 40/50 overs sorted so please select one more player who can bowl 10 overs or the majority of 10 overs. Flintoff's batting position in the order can be discussed further at the end of the draft.

To move things along a little, we will also select a keeper: If you want Bairstow to keep just put "Bairstow", if you want Bairstow to bat and not keep, please name your keeper.

I went for Archer as I really want to reward a World Cup winning bowler since the team doesn't have any yet. Woakes is superb, but the two guys we've chosen are already opening bowlers. I know Archer is too, but I've picked him as a specialist death bowler. If you go for 5, 3 and 3 runs in the 46th, 48th and 50th over of a World Cup Final, I don't really mind how few ODIs he has played.

Botham & Buttler leading at present, I'll give it a few more hours for any other voters.

Please select the final player for the XI. Batting order can be decided after this selection.
