Darren Sammy by the time of the Windies second T20 WC win was batting 8 and not bowling. Essentially specialist captain in role (different to Brearley, who was a specialist captain in output not role as he opened the batting)

BoyBrumby

Englishman
Any number of the bargain store Botham manques that England selected in the wake of the great man's decline: Pringle, Capel, Lewis, Hollioake (A), Reeve and probably more besides.

He was a specialist captain recently in CPL too

Jeevan Mendis seemed to be a bit of a spare part in the Sri Lankan limited overs team in the first half of the 2010's, in the team a lot but not really contributing much with bat or ball

Haha I actually knew him a bit and played with him a few times. He can hit some monstrous sixes and I think he definitely underperformed a fair bit at International level. First time I met him was in the middle of some random fight at a local cricket match and we happened to be the peacemakers from both sides. Nice bloke.
