+ 1 to the bloc voting for Marshall, McGrath and Someone Else. (I went for Imran for my 3rd vote but you could justifiably pick most of the guys on the list.)

I always want Steyn in there to cause some havoc.
McGrath/Marshall (really can't decide), Steyn, Wasim

With Imran in there as the bowling all rounder batting at 6 (he is in the 80s team...), you could play 4 pace bowlers + 1 spinner.

Lillee, just two votes....
there is You Tube to remind us how great he really was, the best bowler in the two years of WSC also

That actually played together:

Marshall/Garner/Holding
Ambrose/Walsh/Bishop
Imran/Wasim/Waqar
Donald/Pollock/DeVilliers
Cummins/Starc/Hazlewood
Steyn/Philander/Rabada
Etc.

I personally prefer Fleming in there. Lee and Bichel are a serious drop off compared to other teams. Fleming, not as much imo.

Yeah Fleming was a gun. In the brief time he was a regular in the test team for the 98/99 and 99/00 summers he was taking wickets at the same rate as McGrath and about as cheap

Best for each country in the timeframe?

Australia
McGrath, Lillee, Cummins

England
Anderson/Willis/Snow

India
Kapil/Bumrah/Shami

New Zealand
Hadlee/Bond/Jamieson

Pakistan
Wasim/Waqar/Imran

South Africa
Steyn/Donald/Pollock

Sri Lanka
Vaas/Malinga/Ratnayake (or Ratnayeke) although I didn't mind Zoysa and Fernardo. Thought Pushpakamara might be useful once and obviously Lakmal is decent now.

Windies
Marshall/Holding/Ambrose

Zimbabwe
Streak/Jarvis/Muzarabani (otherwise Blignaut)

Garner pretty comfortably over Holding for mine. The latter was a fine bowler but is seriously over rated

Botham over Anderson for England.

I am still in love with the idea of the pace and aggression from Marshall, swing and cut from Hadlee and bouncers and yorkers from Garner. would be a real challenge for even Bradman.

Why exactly? I actually think the opposite. Garner on this forum seems to be overrated as a test bowler. Though I admit as a third seamer he is a good contrast.
