I think Itauma would want to prove his gas tank before going for legite top fighters.

That super athletic style can look very impressive but can get gassed after about 6 or so rounds if you're with someone able to withstand and also pressure you.

Yeah so far Demsey Mc Kean is his most impressive win

Supposedly also looking at Hrgovic alongside Bakole , both of those guys have their flaws but I do think they would test his engine and even more importantly his chin.

I am giving Bakole the benefit of doubt because the version we seen of him v Parker probably loses to Chisora

Has Bakole really done all that much to deserve the hype he had pre-Parker loss? That win v Anderson was undeniably impressive, but if we're being honest, Anderson was a bit of a hype job himself (at least at this stage of his career). Looking at his record, the most impressive win is probably knocking out a 40+ Takam, which really isn't anything to get too excited about. Am I selling him short?

That's the way it is with all contenders though.

He basically ended Tony Yoka's career, but then also had close fight with e.g. kuzman ( decent fighter imo).

I'm not sold on Bakole but I don't think he's terrible. At the top level people lose fights.

Akhmedaliev is very good IMO. Will be a tough fight for Inoue at this weight.

Yup. Huni caught Wardley pretty flush with that right hook in the seventh; Fabio grimaced slightly but wasn't really wobbled even.

If he got tagged like that by someone with even an average heavy's weight of punch it would've been goodnight Vienna.

Huni's a slick mover, especially for a heavyweight, but Wardley's power is a (if you'll forgive the shyte pun) a great leveller.

Think he's reached his ceiling though. Reckon Whyte, Joshua or even dear old Del Chisora would be too much for him, never mind Uysk, Dubois or Parker.

Most dangerous thing you can do is throw a single jab from close range. Every single jab Huni threw needed to be doubled and he pretty much lived by that until that final shot.

1 error and the fight ends.

Bit of a dodgy count I felt mind you, but probably would have been knocked out regardless.

Huni might've been on his feet by ten, but definitely wasn't up to scratch.

Ref 100% right to stop it when he did. We've seen too many tragedies when boxers have been too brave for their own good.

Credit to Justis for getting up, but also to the ref for knowing enough was enough.

The approach most refs take in that situation is to ask the boxer to walk towards them and show them their guard etc.

That is what would have happened had Wardley been knocked down. Fair enough to call the fight then. But if a guy gets up well before the count then it's a relatively standard thing to look them over if they're worried.

The ref never checked how Huni was at all. I’m pretty sure the ruling was he hadn’t beaten the count. He pretty much just said 9 and then very quickly waved for 10 as Huni was standing. You could probably argue that he may have missed the count by 0.01 of a second but the timing of Huni standing up was the sort of thing you see time and again and not considered to be missing the count. Definitely a hometown sort of a call with plausible deniability even if not the most egregious.

Ref didn't need to check. Huni hadn't even raised his arms, far less taken his guard.

The Queensbury Rules state a boxer must be able to come up to scratch by the end of a count of ten, not merely get up.

Honestly it's more interesting than the Chisora 3 fight that they're talking about zzzzz. Parker needs a stay busy fight and a recognisable name like Allen makes sense for both guys. Would prefer someone like AJ or Whyte but whatever.

Tbh though both Kabayel and Parker should recognize that Frank et all are trying to freeze them out, and just fight each other. Makes no business sense but they should just do it anyway. Call up uncle Turki and get it done.
