Accidently voted for Raina because I simply forgot Sehwag. Has to be Sehwag of course, he's been saving them once too often recently.

Sehwag last 3 years -

year 2008 18 18 0 893 119 49.61 744 120.02 1 8 0 121 22
year 2009 20 19 1 810 146 45.00 593 136.59 3 2 0 114 20
year 2010 12 12 1 446 110 40.54 410 108.78 1 1 0 66 5

Certainly doing his bit to correct his mediocre ODI record.

Me.

Jokes aside, you need to define 'at the moment'. You could mean 'right now' - who would I pick if I had to pick one to save a match right now, in which case I would pick Sehwag. Or you could mean in the past year, in which case surely no-one should even need to ask that the answer is Tendulkar. I went with the first choice in the poll, but you should clarify this.

Don't see how he is better than Tendulkar in ODIs though.

year 2006 16 16 2 628 141* 44.85 815 77.05 2 3 1 81 7
year 2007 33 32 2 1425 100* 47.50 1665 85.58 1 13 3 192 12
year 2008 12 12 1 460 117* 41.81 546 84.24 1 3 1 46 0
year 2009 21 20 2 972 175 54.00 1034 94.00 3 3 0 108 13
year 2010 2 2 1 204 200* 204.00 152 134.21 1 0 0 26 3

Without wanting to turn this into a Tendulkar love-in thread, I was going through some of his ODI batting statistics. He averages 48.92 at a strike rate of 88.19 opening since 27 Mar 1994 (the match he was pushed up to open against NZ in Auckland).

Also his statistics in matches India have won are staggering. Averages 58.03 @ 90.66. Holy ****.
These numbers for the last 3 years will be even better, I'm sure.

Yeah. Has been averaging nearly 50 for 16plus years since he grew a moustache.

But of course this won't matter in a Viv vs Sachin comparison. :-/

Regards the poll question, Sachin undoubtedly, followed by Dhoni.

Trust u to divert a thread. If the thread is about anyone else, you bring in Sachin. And if it is about Sachin, you bring in someone else who is irrelevant..

Obviously, Sachin. Dhoni deserves a honorable mention though.
