Not sure what kind of option to go for in the last round. Bowler? Batsman? Probably will just list them down, check what comes my way and see what fits.

12.
13. Pommie Mbangwa (29 ODI, 34 Runs @ 4.85, 11 Wickets @ 103.63)

Team is complete. Do not care who I get in the last round (budget is down to nil almost). Big win to get Ganguly, IMO a top 10 all-time ODI batsman.

Whatever it takes!!!
Really disappointed to have missed out on Sourav by such a small margin.. But Boon is a good solid opening bat and given my awesme middle order, he is quite a good pick...

I wouldn't mind a small trade as well, Somerset. You could use a second seamer lol.

Wow, now I love my batting lineup. A perfect opening combination of aggression and solidity, followed by two middle-order geniuses, followed by a sheet anchor with a cool head, followed by a batsman who will be used in my team for the last 15-20 overs (especially after witnessing some of his recent t20 innings), followed by two powerful lower-order hitters. An excellent top 8 with good balance, I must say.

Team so far:
Sanath Jayasuriya (Devastating Opener, 5th Bowler Spin)
Gary Kirsten (Opening Batsman)
Inzamam-Ul-Haq (Expert Middle-order)
Michael Bevan (Star Middle-order)
Steve Waugh (Middle-order, 5th Bowler Pace, Captain)
Mahela Jayawardene (Lower Middle-order)
Mark Boucher (Star Wicketkeeper, Lower-order Hitter)
Shaun Pollock (Star Opening Bowler, Lower-order Hitter)
Chaminda Vaas (First Change Bowler)
Anil Kumble (Spin Bowler)

Drinks and Towels Carriers:
Hrishikesh Kanitkar ($1)
Prosper Utseya ($2)

I fail to understand the usefulness of the trading window in this thread. The point of the trade was to see whether one can build a strong team with good balance through auction, wasn't it? Now, if those, who failed to do that, are given another chance through trading window, the purpose gets defeated, doesn't it? If I knew that a trading window was going to come in the end, I would have bid differently. For example, I paid a price for getting the balance of my team right, I wouldn't have done that; and rather would have focussed on getting better individual talents (without placing importance on the balance). In the process, I could have purchased 13 good batsmen and then traded them to get some bowlers...

One specific example, I paid a high price for Steve Waugh because at that stage I needed a batting all-rounder who can bowl medium pace, and there were not many world-class options remaining at that stage. I would have bid much less for him if I knew I can get a Lance Klusener, Shane Watson, Andrew Flintoff or Chris Cairns through trading window. I am sure there are some other drafters in this thread who have done similar things...

In short, I am not against the idea of a trading window. But any such idea should have been proposed in the beginning.

Such a long lasting draft lol.. During this draft, I've:

- Received a promotion
- Also received a salary increment at work
- Met and dated a girl
- Made above mentioned girl my girlfriend
- Become an uncle
- Worked on 4 different projects in office
- Attended 7 different weddings (seems like its the season)
- Gone for 2 funerals
- Watched 2 rounds of the WC
- Turned down 3 job offers
- Watched a fair few cricket series'
- Changed the style and cut of my beard at least thrice.

Did it take us that long to simply select 11 players for a cricket team lol??
ha ha love it !!!

Eyes not spreadsheets
Well we'll certainly list the bid for squads - any trades would be a hypothetical thing (expecialy seeing as there won't be any sim run for this!)

I proposed the trading window in spite of the fact that my XI was perfectly balanced to my satisfaction within the first 11 rounds itself. I don't see the harm in it.

Nothing against you or anyone else there, it was an open-ended question. And if everybody except me is ok with the idea of a trading window, I won't put an objection as well.
