This was one of the more surprising things I've learned recently. Here's the great man in action. The slingy release must have given him surprising pace off such a short run.

They don't make bowling actions like that anymore. The slinginess was actually not too uncommon at the time.

RIP, his Tied test all-round performance I personaly don't think get's it's due, the last 10 minutes of the match is far more remembered than 44+80, 30-2-135-5 + 24.6-4-87-6.
