3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

International Captain
If I were Indian, I'd be quite annoyed by Nair last night, he started nicely but started to look towards the clock and batted very meekly, they couldn't afford to be 4 down last night.

The Opener playing that shot set the tone, Nothing to do with the runout.

India Panicked when they were on Top, questions have to be asked

Given their talent, the win loss record in the Gambhir era is absolutely unacceptable.
I think looking at the macro, they should get the best results from Bumrah while he is still around. Unlikely to be there for the next tour.

Losing both in Aus and Eng with him is underachieving.

I still believe this is a very average English team and we should've been 2-0 up if not for pathetic selection blunders but guys like Jofra are like an X factor. Stealing players from other countries always gives good returns.

Is the talent really all that. I'm being serious. There's gaping holes in this team.
Yeah no I’m sorry there’s no way you’ll convince me that two wins from eleven or whatever it ends up being is commensurate with what they should be achieving based on talent at their disposal.

Whatever it takes!!!
It kinda sucks that you play so hard and come so close and then lose a game. Once it all settles down, you probably feel it was good to see your team tough it out and compete. But right now, it just hurts more. :(

what? When did that happen? They folded every time they had a chance to “tough it out”

Lazy shots, dropped catches, run out????

No point did they show grit.

We let our advantage slip again by getting bowled out for virtually no score from 374/6. We should have taken a 50 run lead and that would have changed a lot about this chase. But England landed a few more punches than we did when it mattered and that is the game.

Coz he can defend better. That was an all timer of a catch by Jofra though. This has just been a perfect little session for England, everything they have touched has turned to gold. When its the deciding session of the test, that is always handy. :)

That said, I think we lost the game when we did not bat for a big enough lead in the first dig (the Pant run out and the Rahul wicket were needless and our tail was blown away without a fight too, Akash's shot esp. stupid). And England won the game by really being pumped up in this last innings, much like the 2021 test and really getting everything on the deck.
think this is a pretty fair summary of it tbh

2 wins in 11 games

Both coach and captain are barking chihuahua's

No big dick personalities in this team
