I had Streak pegged as an automatic R11 pick, I was hoping to take flower the same round you did, to get the 2 for 1. But I was too late

I may have paid the price for being timed out a few times, but this line-up would be pretty competitive. The opening pair are among any list of great openers while the all-round abilities of Sobers, D'Oliviera and Dexter give more than adequate support to the main bowlers. Lloyd is a proven middle order bat and a great leader. Perhaps the least known of my team would be Eddie Paynter who, in 20 Tests, averaged 59.23 including an average of 84.42 in 7 Tests against Australia.

Would you have batted him 8? I could see Streak/Tate at 7 weakening the batting too much so opted for Bailey. I also was considering a specialist keeper as I know not everyone rates Flower with the gloves, but he did keep in nearly all his tests so that gives me some confidence

Interesting - 3 of us had Pakistani players, yet Saeed Anwar didn't get picked (with Watson and Gayle's bowling being factors).
Interestingly among opening bats who bowl, Mudassar Nazar rarely gets picked in drafts.
Interesting, I had probably been a bit less focused than other drafts - picking Simpson when Ponting was available for instance but did immediately look for an all-rounder - in part because of bowling - I do think of late I've perhaps slightly reduced the importance of bowling in Tests in my mind at least but did think I'd have still ideally have liked a slightly stronger pace attack so lets go for a 4th seam option.

I think in this draft many more all rounders got picked than an average draft in which @honestbharani haven't participated.....I, for once, have 4 all-rounders in my team; I usually take 1 or 2.

I think this happened due to the number of participants. By the time it went to Round 2, many of the top specialist fast bowlers were taken so people compensated by picking up allrounders.
I have 3 plus Waugh who also typically bowls a bit.

Yeah, on reflection I think that's fair. My initial thought was I know Watson had most of his success at the top of the order - then had a look at his stats after posting team and that supported my thought process there. Meanwhile, not uncommon to see Bob Simpson at number 5 in drafts - my thought process was batting at 6 vs 5 isn't massively different as opossed to Watson whose average effectively gets lower the lower down the order he bats in Tests. However, I didn't realise Simpson batted at number 6 as much as he did in Test Cricket - always associated him with opening and the number 5 spot but he batted at 6 more than 5 and had a worse record at 6 than 5.
If it is okay to change my batting order @Krypto I'll go with the following please
